Hany A. Elsawy Abdellatif

During my professional career, I have specialized in mass digitization projects and developed an early interest in OCR for Arabic and Latin early printed books. My commitment to expanding my knowledge and experience in the cultural heritage sector has been demonstrated through various roles as a visitor, volunteer, and employee. This dedication has enabled me to acquire extensive practical and theoretical expertise, particularly in the digitization of archival materials for preservation.

I possess over 19 years of experience working on digitization projects for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Qatar National Library. In recognition of my expertise, I was selected in 2018 as a board member of the international ALTO XML Editorial.
